Schladming - the Styrian sporting capital in the midst of the Dachstein-Tauern Region - is one of Austria's biggest skiing centers, famous far beyond Austria's borders as the host of numerous World Cup races.

The hills of the 4-Mountain Dachstein-Tauern Region serve up 115 kilometers of slopes and 46 ski lifts (Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm). Yet another extraordinary experience is the Dachstein Glacier  - 3000 m of freedom - the Dachstein Skywalk - the Panorama Restaurant - Dachstein Super Snowboard Park - cross-country skiing without bounds, skiing with the aid of 6 lifts and natural snow year-round - what more could you ask for!

Around 60 km of top-quality trails, with such brilliant names as the "Crystal Trail", await you in the romantically pristine countryside of Schladming Rohrmoos. 50 km of cleared winter hiking paths invite you to take a stroll or get in some high-energy Nordic Walking.  And the enormous Ramsau/Dachstein cross-country area is only a matter of minutes away.  You are also certain to be thrilled by the 7 km-long natural sledding hill, open to the public both day and night.
